If I Stay

A touching novel about choices, life, death, music and love. Beautifully written and interestingly formatted. I'd say that anyone could love this book because it deals with all sorts of issues. Though the story deals with death I would like to note that it isn't in anyway scary, dont be worried, no nightmares ;)

Mia was just an average seventeen year old girl with dreams and promising future ahead of her. But all of a sudden their family gets into a car crash. A bad one... both her mom, dad, and brother are dead. Mia experiences the losses outside of her body. Her fate is ultimately decided by what she chooses. Can she bare to live as an orphan, to go on without her mom and dad? Can she leave behind her loving boyfriend and chance at Juliard. Faced with difficult decisions Mia revisits her past in order to decide her future.

All My Sons

Well here you have it! My first post about a play. This play was written by the famous playwright Arthur Miller (who has also written The Crucible and Death of a Salesman). When we received the book in school I wasn't expecting anything extarodinary. But as I started reading I got hooked. I can surely say that this is my favorite piece of literature that I have read in school all year. The story takes place right after World War II, concerning a family, distressed from losing their sons. As you go along your mouth will start to hurt from all the jaw-dropping ;) This story also has one of the most intense and surprising endings that I have ever read. I would definitely recommend this quick, fast paced and thrilling three act play.

Tired...

^ This is how i feel right now... too tired to get in bed. Why am i tired? Oh, because i just spent two hours rearranging my bookshelf. No dont roll you eyes at this me, i had to go up my ladder and down my latter will holding around twenty books each "trip". ehhh. and in the process i broke around three glass animals that were on my bookshelf and then had two glue them back together (during this craziness i also happened to glue my fingers together). the things i do for books..... what a freak.

Burned (House of Night)

I must say the seventh installment to the House of Night series was pretty damn intense. The beginning is a little slow but don't let that get you down, keep reading. Trust me its worth it. Now I don't want to  give a summary because some of you may not have read the series but I think its worth checking out. Dont expect it to be anything like Twilight, because it is not a romantic love story. Anywayyz, I'm sad that I have to wait till Jan '11 for the next book: Awakened.

On the night before mothers day...

SHAT. Its the night before mothers day and you DO. NOT. HAVE. A. PRESENT.
Well I'm here to help you out...
First things first head straight over to the nearest Barnes and Nobles, Borders, or other bookstore. Books are thoughtful and not to expensive. You can never go wrong with a book.
Uh oh... problem number two: you dont know what your mom likes to read.

1. Everyone loves a "classic".
2. If you dont think your mom would like "a classic type of book" then head over to the recommended table or the best sellers table.
3. If you still cant find anything their ASK FOR HELP. There is always someone who can help you find a BOOK in a BOOKSTORE.
4. If your mom isn't the "reader" type then look through photography books, coffee tables books are also nice to look at and something that your mom doesn't have to read
5. If none of that works then.... your screwed.
